David Lynch: The Lime Green Set (new DVD box set!)

On Nov. 18, David Lynch is releasing a new DVD box set that's full of both classic, rare and never-before-seen Lynch material. It's called the David Lynch: The Lime Green Set, and you can pre-order it from Amazon right now by clicking this link.

Here's a full rundown of what the set includes:

A box of selected work by director David Lynch including Eraserhead remastered edition, the Eraserhead CD soundtrack, The Short Films of David Lynch, Blue Velvet with a newly remixed 5.1 track by David Lynch, Wild at Heart, The Elephant Man, the animated serial Dumbland, and making its DVD debut, Industrial Symphony No. 1: The Dream of the Broken Hearted.
In addition will be a Mystery Disc -- including several exclusive Lynch originals. Also included in the set will be original Lynch extras not before available on previous DVD editions. Finally, set includes a booklet featuring rare Lynch imagery.

A HUGE thanks to the awesome David Lynch fan site Dugpa.com for the heads-up on this set.

LOST HIGHWAY getting U.S. DVD release!

At long last, Lost Highway is getting a proper U.S. DVD release. This widescreen version should be much better than the full-screen, pan-and-scan version that's been the only Region 1 release of it previously.

It'll be released on March 25, 2008, but you can pre-order it through Amazon.com now:

Twin Peaks Definitive Gold Box Edition available for pre-order!

Twin Peaks - The Definitive Gold Box Edition, which contains the pilot and both seasons of the show in one DVD set, is available for pre-order. The release date is October 30, 2007. Click above to pre-order it from Amazon.com.

This set should be incredible. In addition to having the entire Twin Peaks series, it's got both versions of the pilot, deleted scenes and brand new interviews that were not part of either of the two individual season box sets.

I cannot put into words how happy I am about this!

Season 2 DVDs here at last

Today is the perfect day for the first post on this blog, since today marks the release of the second season of Twin Peaks on DVD - something TP fans have been waiting on for six years.

My own season 2 DVD set should be arriving soon. I've heard good things about this set and can't wait to see it for myself.

I've heard rumors that at some point - possibly before the end of the year - there will be a new Twin Peaks set that includes the entire series, including the first proper DVD release of the pilot (another TP release that's long overdue). Such a set would possibly include special features that are different from either of the two individual season sets. That'd be great, as would a new DVD of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me that includes the legendary Lynch-approved deleted scenes.

But the talk about a complete-series set is just a rumor at this point, so for now I'm going to enjoy my individual season sets.
